NANCY L. FINNEMORE
FORT FAIRFIELD

Fort Fairfield – Nancy L. Finnemore, died peacefully surrounded by her family, on May 26, 2020 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Southern Maine, at the age of 74, following an extended illness. Nancy was born July 17, 1945 in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Roy A. and Amelia (Pinet) Finnemore.

She attended Fort Fairfield schools and enjoyed gardening, interior designing, and loved her family. She was a beautiful soul who had a contagious smile and laugh. Her love for animals was heartwarming and inspiring.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her three sisters, Barbara Combs, Donna Cramer, and Joyce Newcomb; two nephews, Michael Keegan and Stephen Cramer. She is survived by two children, Susan Giggey-Bergeron and her husband Gary R. Bergeron; Gary Giggey II, all of Sanford; their father, Gary Giggey of Fort Fairfield; her beloved sister, with whom she shared a strong bond, Phyllis G. Barnes of Fort Fairfield; three granddaughters, Amelia and her husband Travis LaPanne of Wells, Sarah Hebert of Vermont, Emily Giggey of Sanford; three great grandchildren, Aiden Thibodeau, Blake Thibodeau, Lainey LaPanne; step great grandchild, Connor LaPanne, all of Wells; thirteen nieces and nephews, Carol, Richard, Beverly, Michelle, Donna, Marylee, Allan, Cathy, Peter, Ralph, Ronald, Sharon, and Robert; many great nieces and great nephews; and beloved pets, Khloe, Felicia, Leah, and Cyrus. Nancy also leaves behind her best friend, Carol Barnes of Fort Fairfield and special friend, Tracy Barnes of Sanford. Nancy’s family would like to express their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, especially nurses Emily and Cheryl for the wonderful care and support given to Nancy and her family during her stay.

In consideration of current restrictions on gatherings and the health of family and friends, services will be private to the family and held at a later date.
