Easton – Margaret A. Gagnon, 74, passed away Thursday evening, May 27, 2021 at a Presque Isle hospice facility, following an extended illness. She was born July 8, 1946 in Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, the daughter of Frederick and Dorilla (Therrien) Sullivan.

She attended Perth-Andover schools and worked in several capacities over the years, including seasonal farm work, Burrell’s Press Clippings, Presque Isle for seventeen years and ended her career at Currier and Trask Law Offices as a transcriptionist. Margaret enjoyed the outdoors, bird watching, knitting, crocheting, and crafting, and cherished her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by one son, Richard P. “Rick” Gagnon Jr.; and one brother, Louis Sullivan.

She is survived by her companion, Richard P. Gagnon Sr. of Easton; one son, Michael Gagnon and his wife Hope of Fort Fairfield; one daughter, Shelly Gagnon and her fiancé Brent Holton Jr. of Fort Fairfield; grandchildren, Michael Gagnon-Bowker of Washburn, Ashley Dionne and her husband George of Poland, Amanda Holton of Patten, Emma Holton of Fort Fairfield, Sarah Nash of Presque Isle, Corey Nash of Dover-Foxcroft, Randy Nash of Presque Isle; ten great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Irene Sullivan of Quispamsis, New Brunswick; one sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Ronnie Bubar of Fredericton, New Brunswick; several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Margaret’s wishes, there will be no services at this time. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Gagnon to the Central Aroostook Humane Society, 24 Cross Street, Presque Isle, Maine 04769.
