ALICE LILLIAN (FULLER) PEERS
CASWELL

Caswell – Alice Lillian (Fuller) Peers, 91, passed away May 31, 2021 at a Caribou healthcare facility, after a brief illness. She was born in Easton on March 27, 1930, the daughter of the late Vernon and Mary (McKinney) Fuller.

After graduating from Aroostook State Teachers College in 1954, Alice dedicated her life to working on the family farm and teaching in Caswell, Long Branch, New Jersey, and Loring Air Force Base. She was a member of the Caswell Extension for a number of years as well as a member of the Caswell United Methodist Church. Alice enjoyed painting, ceramics, bowling and monthly bunco games. She also enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren’s soccer, basketball and softball/baseball games. On June 22, 1960, Alice married the late John Peers and together they raised six children.

Surviving, are two sons, Laurin (Sandra) Peers and Elwood (Sandra Kinney) Peers, of Caswell; three daughters, June Peers and Margaret Peers, of Caswell, Karen (John Shaw) Peers of Woodland; daughter-in-law, Paula Peers; eight grandchildren, Chad Peers, Jackie Peers (friend Chris) Kellie (friend Ben) Peers, all of Limestone, Travis (Elisha) Peers of Caswell, Julie (Matt) Peers of Shoreham, VT, Cassidy (friend Tristan) Godin, Nathan (fiancé Kirsten) Godin both of Caribou, Katelyn (Andrew) Forsman of Fort Fairfield; eight great grandchildren, Kaylee and Blake Peers of Limestone, Tanner and Jayce Peers of Caswell, Huxley and Beau Bourgeois of Shoreham, VT, Bennett and Carson Forsman of Fort Fairfield; sister, Joan Russell (Gardiner Hall) of Yarmouth; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Bengtson of New Sweden and June Peers of Limestone; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband John; one son, Louis Peers; five brothers, Clarence, Donald, Leland, Karl and Neal; three sisters, Freda, Dorothy and Marie.

Friends may call Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. The funeral service will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Peers Cemetery, Caswell. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made, in memory of Alice, to the Peers Cemetery, P.O. Box 33, Caribou, Maine 04736 or a charity of one’s choice.
