Caswell & Limestone – Annette Labreck, 94, wife of the late Albert J. Labreck, passed away Sunday morning, March 7, 2021 at her Limestone home, following an extended illness. She was born August 4, 1926 in Caswell, the daughter of Joseph and Laura (LaForest) Pelkey.

She attended Caswell schools and was a communicant of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Hamlin. Annette was a very hard worker and had been employed by Converse Shoe for many years, also worked seasonally raking blueberries, and taking care of her family. She was a kind, easy going beautiful soul with a huge heart. Her love for her family showed through her infectious smile and she greatly enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Annette was predeceased by her husband Albert; three brothers, Arthur, Patrick, and Alcide Pelkey; two sons-in-law, Mitchell Labreck and Linwood True.

She is survived by seven daughters, Bernice True of Limestone, Bernadette Labreck of Caribou, Arlene Duprey and her husband Norman of Caswell, Carline Rousell and her husband Victor of Drummond, New Brunswick, Sylvia Sawyer and her husband Paul of Virginia, Sharon Bird and her husband Jerry, Lisha Wasson and her husband Wayne, all of Limestone; four sons, James Labreck and his wife Irma of Limestone, Gary Labreck and his wife Gisele, Jeff Labreck and his wife Diane, all of Caswell, Greg Labreck and his wife Lisa of Grand Falls, New Brunswick; one brother, Francis Pelkey of Connecticut; three sisters, Helen St. Pierre of Caribou, Janet King of Limestone, and Sylvia Greer and her husband Al of Texas; thirty-one grandchildren; fifty great grandchildren; seventeen great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. Please be advised that social distancing and a face mask will be required, and the amount of people in the building at one time is limited. Due to the current restrictions on gatherings, the funeral service will be private for the family. Interment will take place later in the spring at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Hamlin.
