Keith McBurnie of The Villages, Florida passed away on November 19, 2021. Keith was born in Fort Fairfield, ME and lived in ME, upstate NY, and for the past 20years, in the state of FL.

Keith is predeceased by his parents, George and Hazel {Beckwith} McBurnie, and his brothers Robert and Dale McBurnie. He is survived by his brother, David McBurnie, and his wife Kathy of Chesterfield, VA., and his beloved wife of 54 years, Beverly Jean {Cyr} McBurnie. His second love of his life was his daughter, Lisa Marie {McBurnie} Corrigan of Gill, MA. Keith leaves also his loving grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Keith, grew up on his Parents Family Farm and learned that hard work and dedication to the task, pays dividends. After graduation, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Husson College in ME, Keith went on to build a strong and successful career in Sales and Entrepreneurship. His initial Sales career with Kraft Foods took him from Augusta, ME and eventually Lake Katrine and Red Hook, NY where he enjoyed a long career at Agway Corporation. Keith’s entrepreneur spirit brought him into his own successful businesses, when he created the McBurnie Insurance Agency in Red Hook, NY. In Red Hook Keith and Bev’s lives flourished. He became a distinguished member and eventual President of the Red Hook Rotary Club, a member of the Red Hook Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Board of Directors of Red Hook Country Club. During those busy years, Keith also proudly served in the Air National Guard. While in Red Hook he became a founder and partner in KDK Realty Inc. Keith considered his greatest success the mutual love and respect of his daughter, Lisa, who is married to John R. Corrigan. Lisa and John brought him three special grandchildren, Delaney of NYC, Audrey and Keeley Corrigan of Gill, MA. He so loved those children. Keith had a passion for golf and spent his lifetime following his beloved New England Professional Sports Teams. Keith had a strong will, but such a kind heart, and was so close to so many. Keith was known by Lisa’s friends as “The Greatest Dad” when he would show up at Lisa’s High School and College athletic events with his famous homemade chocolate chip cookies for all.
