Limestone – Eric M. Gumprecht, 45, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 4, 2021 at a Bangor healthcare facility, following a brief illness. He was born November 11, 1976 in Tillamook, OR, the son of Neil A. and Mary L. (Cometto) Gumprecht.

Eric attended Damon Elementary School, Loring Air Force Base and was a graduate of the Limestone High School, Class of 1996. Following graduation, Eric moved to Delaware with his brother Tony, where he worked as a cook. He later moved to Florida with his brother Mark, where he became employed as an electrical technician with D.R.S. Technologies in Palm Bay, Florida. Eric later moved back to Limestone and became employed with Sitel and later worked at A.T.X., Caribou, and moved with A.T.X to Kennesaw, GA where he worked for a period of time, returning to Limestone in 2017. Eric was a dedicated son, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. He dearly loved his nieces and nephews, and was always laughing and joking, and was so much fun to be around.

He was predeceased by his father, Neil A. Gumprecht on November 21, 2021; parental grandparents, Richard and Mary Gumprecht; maternal grandparents, Alberto and Maria Cometto.

Eric is survived by his mother, Mary Gumprecht of Limestone; three brothers and spouses, John Roy of Kennebunk, Mark and Kelly Gumprecht of Melbourne, FL, Anthony and Kelly Gumprecht of Wales, ME; one sister, Jennifer Lopez of Naples, FL. Eric also leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews, Kasey Haley of New Sweden, Paige Haley of Colorado, Nicholas Gumprecht of Presque Isle, Andrew Gumprecht of Brewer, Joshua, Ryan and Bryce Gumprecht, all of Melbourne, FL; and his special canine companion, “Chewy”.

A memorial service will be conducted in the Spring of 2022 at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield, with interment to follow at the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Limestone, at a date and time to be announced.
