Limestone – Eric M. Poitras, 40, passed away unexpectedly, Friday December 3, 2021 at his Limestone home. He was born January 14, 1981 in Presque Isle, the son of Paul A. and Patsy A. (Bell) Poitras.

Eric was a graduate of the Limestone High School, Class of 1999 and attended the University of Maine, Presque Isle in their law enforcement program. He had been employed by Tractor Supply, Presque Isle. He was also a lifelong employee of his family’s business, Poitras Service in Limestone where Eric worked full time for ten years. Eric loved to cook and possessed a very big heart, always putting others before himself. He dearly loved his family, and his children were his world.

Eric is survived by his loving companion, Kristi Bell of Caribou; his parents, Paul and Pasty Poitras of Limestone; three children, Colby, Owen and Emma Poitras, all of Limestone; three brothers, Timothy Poitras and his fiancé Paula of Caribou, Jon Poitras and his wife Angela, Nick Poitras, all of Limestone. Eric was a caring and dedicated uncle to Brennan and Colin Poitras of Caribou, and Carson and Kaleb Poitras of Limestone. He also leaves behind several extended family members and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Limestone Assembly of God, 18 Church Street, Limestone, where a memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 noon with Rev. Robert Amuzzini officiating, Interment will follow at the Advent Cemetery, Limestone. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
