Fort Fairfield – Jeanette R. Seeley, 89, wife of the late Roger H. Seeley, passed away, Saturday morning, February 19, 2022 at her Fort Fairfield home, following a period of declining health. She was born October 30, 1932 in Limestone, the daughter of Bedford and Violet (Gallagher) Willey.

She was a graduate of the Limestone High School and attended Husson College in their secretarial program. Jeanette was married to Roger H. Seeley on August 22, 1952 and was a dedicated member of the United Parish Church where she was active with the United Parish Women, participated in creating the church bulletins and worked on many bereavement receptions. She had been employed as a receptionist for Dr. Donald Blackstone and later Dr. Greg Blackstone, Presque Isle for twenty-six years and taught knitting at Presque Isle Adult Education Program.

Jeanette was a wonderful cook, was a talented seamstress and enjoyed knitting. She will be remembered as a graceful, dignified woman who regardless of the situation or setting was always a lady.

In addition to her parents, Jeanette was predeceased by her husband, Roger H. Seeley on February 1, 2003; one brother, Charles Willey; one sister, Gloria Martin. She is survived by one son, Curtis C. Seeley of Fort Fairfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Candace and Andrew Brinkman of Grand Falls, New Brunswick; three sisters, Emaleen Lynch of Presque Isle, Gwendolyn Marshall and her husband Winston “Bucky” of Cross Lake, Eleanor Cyr and her husband Mike of Sinclair; seven grandchildren, Jamie Seeley of Connecticut, Chad Seeley and Shawn Seeley, both of Fort Fairfield, Aimee Seeley of Washburn, Abbie Ouellet and her husband Louis of Ft. McMurray, Alberta, Luke Brinkman and his wife Starla of Las Vegas, NV, Jenny Paget and her husband Zack of Moncton, New Brunswick; seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted later in the spring at the United Parish Church, 4 Church Street, Fort Fairfield with interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield, at a date and time to be announced by the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
