PRESQUE ISLE
Presque Isle – Gary Leon “Buck” Pelkey Jr., 63, passed away Thursday evening, September 15, 2022 at his Presque Isle home, with family and friends by his side following an extended illness. He was born March 12, 1959 in Presque Isle, the son of Gary L. Sr. and Lois (Kilcollins) Pelkey.
In addition to his parents, Gary was predeceased by two brothers, Cecil and Russell Pelkey; and his beloved dog Sammy. He is survived by his companion of many years, Peggy Pelkey of Presque Isle; two sons, Gary L. Pelkey III of Presque Isle, Christopher Pelkey of Machias; one daughter Nicole Pelkey of Presque Isle; one sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Richard Bonato of Presque Isle; one brother, Thomas Pelkey of Mars Hill.
A celebration of Gary’s life will be conducted Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Birch Street Community Center, Presque Isle. Those who wish may contribute in Gary’s memory to the charity or organization of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
