JOHN COX “ANDY” ANDERSON
March 2, 1955 — February 26, 2022

John Cox "Andy" Anderson, III, age 66, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Lowell General Hospital. He was born in New York on March 2, 1955, a son of the late John Cox Anderson, Jr. and the late Ruth (Brunstetter) Anderson.

John was a resident of Chelmsford for many years. John was employed as a call specialist with DCU for the past several years and previously worked as an engineer for Weather Services International for twenty-five years. Earlier in his life, he was an engineer for NBC affiliate channel 30 in Hartford, CT for ten years. John was a member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) for many years. He was fascinated with electronics throughout his life, even at a young age, and taught his nephew, Thomas Jr. how to do household electrical wiring. John was an avid collector of antique locks.

He is survived by his brother, Thomas C. Anderson and his wife Karen of Westford. He also leaves his two nephews, John W. Anderson of Lubbock, TX and Thomas "Charlie" Anderson, Jr. of Westford. His aunt, Edith Benning of Cranbury, NJ, a dear friend, George Gervais of Billerica as well as many cousins.

A celebration of John's life was conducted on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the Westford Healy Funeral Home, Westford, MA. A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield with the Rev. Dr. Diane Langworthy officiating.
