LIMESTONE

Limestone – Frederick D. Jamieson, 66, husband of Dianna F. Jamieson, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022 at the Presque Isle Aroostook House of Comfort, following an extended illness. He was born May 9, 1956 in Bar Harbor, the son of Milan Sr. and Ingrid (Ward) Jamieson.

He attended school in Dennysville and was a graduate of the Eastport High School, Class of 1974. He was married to Dianna F. Chapais on January 19, 1973 and went on to serve his country from 1974 to 1994 with the United States Air Force stationed at Kincheloe AFB, Michigan, Rome AFB, New York, George AFB, California and Loring AFB, Limestone. After his retirement from the military, he was employed as a meat cutter with Limestone IGA, later Mike’s Family Market, retiring in 2018. Fred enjoyed woodworking and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia.

In addition to his father; Fred was predeceased by one sister, Marie Bowers. He is survived by his mother, Ingrid; his wife of forty-nine years, Dianna, both of Limestone; three sons, Jeffrey Jamieson and his wife Paula of Caribou, Franklin Jamieson and his companion Alycia, Michael Jamieson; one daughter, Tammy Jamieson, all of Limestone; three grandchildren, Tharen Hand and Xander Jamieson, both of Caribou, Olivia Jamieson of Limestone; two brothers, Milan Jamieson Jr. and his wife Romelda of Pembroke, Stephen Jamieson of Duncanville, TX; two sisters, Dot Hayman and her husband Roland of Sussex, New Brunswick, Valerie Grimm of Duncanville, TX; several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Fred’s wishes, there will no services. Private interment will take place at Edmunds Cemetery, Edmunds. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Jamieson to the Aroostook House of Comfort, P.O. Box 867, Presque Isle, Maine 04769. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
