FORT FAIRFIELD & LEWISTON
Fort Fairfield & Lewiston – Jesse David Sutherland, 34, passed away Monday morning, January 9, 2023 at a Lewiston healthcare facility, following an extended illness. He was born March 14, 1988 in Lewiston, the son of David F. and Carla J. (Morrow) Sutherland.
Jesse was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 2007. He enjoyed ATV riding and was a member of the Fort Fairfield ATV Club. He was also a member of the “Club House”, a Lewiston based social organization. Jesse greatly enjoyed the outdoors and his family was his life, most especially his children.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, Fred Sutherland. He is survived by his parents, David and Carla Sutherland of Fort Fairfield; his grandmother, Linda Sutherland of Fort Fairfield; one son, Landon S. Sutherland; one daughter, Makayla A. Sutherland, both of Caribou; several aunts, uncles, and extended family members.
In keeping with Jesse’s wishes, a private graveside service will be conducted later in the spring at the Union Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Jesse to the American Diabetes Association, Maine Affiliate, 10 Bangor Street, Augusta, Maine 04430. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
