Fort Fairfield – Gail E. Blevins – 85, wife of the late Kenneth P. Blevins, passed away Tuesday morning, January 24, 2023 at the Aroostook House of Comfort, Presque Isle following a brief illness. She was born August 27, 1937 in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Kenneth A. and Marcia R. (Day) Ward.

She was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School and was married to Kenneth P. Blevins on September 25, 1954. In addition to being a dedicated homemaker, Gail worked seasonally for several local potato growers, including Morris Farms, Ireland Farms, John Tweedie Farms and Bubar Farms. Gail was a lifelong member and past president of the VFW Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187 Ladies Auxiliary, Fort Fairfield, where she was very active. Gail’s first priority was her family, and truly cherished her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Gail was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth on September 20, 2000; one daughter, Bonnie Blevins DeWitt; two sons-in-law, Randy DeWitt and Calvin Peers Jr.; two brothers, Richard and Roger Ward. She is survived by four daughters, Kathy Blevins of Limestone, Peggy Blevins Peers of Presque Isle, Nora Blevins Thomas and her husband Jim of Caribou, Tracy Blevins Jones of Fort Fairfield; five grandchildren, Toni Lloyd and her husband Chris, Jason Johnston, all of Presque Isle, Allison Beaulieu of Titusville, FL, Andrea Beaulieu of Presque Isle, Isabella Jones of Fort Fairfield; two great grandchildren, Noah and Jacob Lloyd of Presque Isle; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Monday, January 30, 2023 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield, where the funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. with Russell Ward officiating. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will take place immediately following the service at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield. Interment will take place later in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Gail to the Aroostook House of Comfort, P.O.
