Caribou & Fort Fairfield – Jeannette St. Pierre, 83, wife of the Albert “Emery” St. Pierre, passed away Tuesday morning, January 31, 2023 at Rising Hill, Limestone, following a period of declining health. She was born April 3, 1939 in St. Leonard, New Brunswick, the daughter of Rene and Bertha (Corbin) Gagnon.

She was married to Albert St. Pierre on April 22, 1957. She was a resident of Hartford, CT for seven years and resident of Caribou for more than fifty years, and lived in Fort Fairfield from 2014 to 2020. Jeannette had been employed by Cary Medical Center in Caribou in the cafeteria for many years and continued to volunteer at the hospital for decades after her retirement. She was a member of both the Van Buren and Fort Fairfield Daughters of Isabella, the Ladies of St. Anne, North Caribou, a Columbiette, and was a communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield.

In addition to her parents, Jeannette was predeceased by her husband Albert and two sisters, Ozithee Gagnon and Jacqueline Cyr. She is survived by one sister, Renette Nadeau of Palm Bay, FL; three sons, Kevin St. Pierre of Caribou, Gary St. Pierre and his wife Toni of Jacksonville, FL, Steven St. Pierre and his wife Wendy of Perham; four daughters, Judy Brown and her husband Steven of Woodland, Lorraine Curtis and her husband Richard of Presque Isle, Linda Brown and her husband Kenneth of Maryville, TN, Debra St. Peter of Colmesneil, TX; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, 147 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will take place after the Mass at the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 1753, 260 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. Spring interment will take place at the St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery, Van Buren. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Jeannette to the Daughters of Isabella, Santa Maria Circle No. 427, c/o Brandy Osterblom, 26 Elm Street, Fort Fairfield, Maine 04742. Envelopes will be available at the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
