FORT FAIRFIELD

Fort Fairfield – Ida E. “Blondie” Beaulieu, 84, passed away Tuesday afternoon, February 14, 2023 at her Fort Fairfield home, following an extended illness. She was born January 12, 1939 in St. Francis, the daughter of Isaac V. and Elsie (Brownell) Hafford.

Blondie attended St. Francis schools, was a communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield, and had been employed at A & P Processing Plant, later Interstate Foods, Fort Fairfield as a shift lead. She also had been employed by the Community General Hospital, Fort Fairfield in the cafeteria and their housekeeping department, Burrell’s Press Clipping Service, Presque Isle and Sitel, Caribou. Blondie’s door was always open to everyone. She loved to socialize, play cards, and watch “Wheel of Fortune”.

In addition to her parents, Blondie was predeceased by two brothers, Dana and Vincent Hafford; six sisters, Christina York, Ann Lovely, Rose Ackers, Viola Walker, Mona O’Neal and Mary West.

She is survived by four sons, Jeff A. Beaulieu and Michael J. Beaulieu, both of Presque Isle, Robert F. Beaulieu, Dale Beaulieu and his wife Stephanie, all of Fort Fairfield; one daughter, Lisa Campbell of Fort Fairfield; four grandchildren, Allison Murray of Titusville, FL, Andrea Beaulieu of Presque Isle, Sarah Beaulieu of Fort Fairfield, Amanda Campbell of Fort Fairfield; one great granddaughter, Skylar Murray of Florida; one sister, Ella Leighton of Fort Fairfield; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, February 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, 147 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held at the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 1753, 260 Main Street, Fort Fairfield, following the Mass. Spring interment will take place at the St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Ms. Beaulieu to the Aroostook House of Comfort, P.O. Box 867, Presque Isle, Maine 04769. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
