SHARI L. (BROWN) COWETT
FORT FAIRFIELD
Fort Fairfield – Shari L. (Brown) Cowett, 63, wife of the late Dana E. Cowett, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Fort Fairfield on Thursday, March 9, 2023. She was born October 25, 1959 in Rome, Georgia, the daughter of Franklin E. and Bea (Shorey) Brown.
Shari graduated from C.A.H.S. in Mars Hill in 1978. After many jobs, she found her calling at Pierre’s School of Cosmetology where she met many lifelong friends.
She is survived by her mother, Bea Brown of Blaine; her beloved son, Marcus Brown and his partner Megan DeWitt of Fort Fairfield; a step-daughter, Lynn (Jeremy) Lowe and their son Jaxson; one brother, Tim (Ruby) Shorey of North Pole Alaska; two sisters, Jonna Flint of Mars Hill, and Terri (Russ) Svendsen of Fairbanks, Alaska; a brother-in-law, Lewis Hartsgrove of Campton, New Hampshire; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, Cowett in-laws; and special friends, Rick and Carrie MacDonald.
She was predeceased by her father, Franklin Eugene Brown; a sister, Tammie (Brown) Hartsgrove; and a brother-in-law, Kyle Flint.
Shari will be remembered for her rock painting, positive attitude, and wicked sense of humor by all who knew her.
There will be no services at the time. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gibersondorseyfuneralhome.com .
