DEBORAH L. CLOSSON
FORT FAIRFIELD
Fort Fairfield - Deborah L. Closson, 72, wife of the late Thomas R. Closson, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, March 16, 2023 at her Fort Fairfield home. She was born September 10, 1950 in Bangor, the daughter of Lewis W. and Ruby M. (Fowler) Johnson.
She was a graduate of the Orono High School and received an associate’s degree from Beal’s College. Debbie was married to Thomas Closson on April 18, 1970 and went on to have two children, Heidi and Tammy Closson. Debbie spent her life outdoors doing all the things she loved; establishing T & D Farms with her husband, gardening, fishing, and picking berries and beans at Goughan’s Farms for over 20 years.
In addition to her parents, Debbie was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Closson on February 20, 2008; one brother, Charlie Johnson. She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Closson and Heidi Closson, both of Fort Fairfield; one brother, Wayne Johnson of Washington State; grandchildren, Marissa Keiser and Cody Closson; the light of her life was her three great-grand children, Raelyn Closson, Camden Closson, and Sawyer Keiser; and several nieces.
In keeping Debbie’s wishes, there will be no services. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Closson to Northern Light Home Care and Hospice – Aroostook, 18 Green Hill Drive, Presque Isle, Maine 04769.
