Fort Fairfield – Roberta A. Bell, 80, passed away Sunday morning March 26, 2023 at a Presque Isle nursing facility. She was born October 19, 1942 in Washburn, the daughter of Herman and Gayla (Glidden) Bell.

She was a graduate of the Washburn High School, Class of 1960, the Eastern Maine General Hospital School of Nursing in 1963, St. Joseph’s College in 1989, and the Antioch University of New England in 1994. Roberta had been employed a registered nurse at Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor, A.R. Gould Hospital, Presque Isle, Cary Medical Center, Caribou and also worked as an Instructor of Nursing at the Northern Maine Community College, Presque Isle until her retirement in 2011. Roberta enjoyed attending area Baptist churches, flower gardening, sewing and photography.

She was predeceased by her parents and is survived by one son, James Felch and his wife Sosan Pooya of Derry, NH; one daughter, Jackie (Felch) Brooker and her husband Joseph of Cross Lake Twp; three brothers, Robert Bell, Richard Bell, both of Washburn, Brent Bell of Folsom, CA; two sisters, Donna McIntire of Bangor, Cynthia Eldredge of Westfield; one granddaughter, Cricket Carter and her husband Matt of Colorado Springs, CO; two grandsons, Chase Brooker of Colorado Springs, CO, Zachary Felch of Derry, NH; one step granddaughter, Sahar Pooya of Derry, NH; numerous nieces and nephews.

A private Celebration of Roberta’s Life followed by interment at the Crouseville Cemetery will be conducted at a later date. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Roberta to the Alzheimer’s Association, 383 US Route 1, #2C, Scarborough, Maine 04074.
