Frenchville & Fort Fairfield – Colby A. Churchill, 79, husband of Dorothy (Roy) (Sirois) Churchill, passed away Saturday evening, June 3, 2023 at Fort Kent healthcare facility, following a brief illness. He was born May 29, 1944 in Fort Fairfield, the son of George “Austin” and Madeline G. (Fraser) Churchill.

Colby was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School and farmed potatoes for a time with his brothers, Gary, John and Bob. He served as Pastor at the Hatfield Point, New Brunswick Pentecostal Church, and worked as an insurance agent in both, Fredericton and St. John, New Brunswick. Colby later served as Pastor at Agape Christian Fellowship in Fort Kent, and also worked for Michaud Burial Vaults, St. Agatha.

In addition to his parents, Colby was predeceased by two brothers, Hubert and John Churchill; one sister, Janet Paul. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Frenchville; one son and daughter-in-law, Blair and Monique Churchill of Mazerolle Settlement, New Brunswick; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Richard Houser, Beth and Robert Bowser, all of Moncton, New Brunswick, Amy and Michael Cook of Fredericton, New Brunswick; step-children, Karen Ouellette and her husband Albert of St. David, Helen Fortin and her husband Lloyd of Grand Isle, Ronald Sirois and his wife Brenda of Frenchville; six brothers, Robert Churchill and his wife Sylvia, Gary Churchill and his wife Carol, all of Fort Fairfield, Richard Churchill of The Dominican Republic, Brian Churchill and his wife Shirley of Tennessee, Brent Churchill and his wife Connie of Fort Fairfield, Alan Churchill of The Dominican Republic; two sisters, Sandra Ward and her husband Randall of Weeks Mills, Susan Churchill of Mexico; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Colby’s wishes, a private graveside service will take place at a later date at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Colby to the charity or organization of one’s choice.
