WILLIAM R. KEMP II
FORT FAIRFIELD
Fort Fairfield – William R. Kemp II, husband of Laurie A. (Green) Kemp, passed away Monday morning, June 26, 2023 at his Fort Fairfield home, following a brief illness. He was born September 23, 1963 in Bethel, Maryland, the son of William R. and Dorothy J. (Johnson) Kemp.
William was married to Laurie A. Green on August 20, 1994 and worked in Pennsylvania as a mail carrier and a paramedic. He was also an E.M.T with Crown Ambulance for over eighteen years. William enjoyed gaming at Eagle Hill, Presque Isle, golf, and was a huge Disney fan. He also enjoyed sports, especially hockey and football with his favorite teams being the Steelers and Penguins.
In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by his son William R. Kemp III on May 17, 2020. He is survived by his wife Laurie of Fort Fairfield; one daughter, Catrina Kemp; one grandson, Alexander Kemp, both of Houlton; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Amanda Kemp of Ellsworth, PA; several nieces and nephews including Vickie Day, Sam Harvey and his wife Linda, and Brad Harvey, all of Fort Fairfield. Bill will be remembered by many, especially his close friends Marty and Kim Pavikowski of Norfolk, VA.
In keeping with William’s wishes, there will be no services at this time. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Kemp to the charity or organization of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gibersondorseyfuneralhome.com .
