Fort Fairfield – Priscilla W. Fields, 75, wife of the late Lee Scott Fields, Jr., passed away surrounded by her family on Monday morning, November 6, 2023 at a Caribou healthcare facility, following a brief illness. She was born May 15, 1948 in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Harris and Frances (Houghton) Whited.

She was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1966, received a Bachelors Degree in Nutrition from the University of Maine at Orono and was married to Lee Scott Field Jr. on August 27, 1968. She retired as Special Education Director of M.S.A.D. No. 20 Schools after more than twenty years of service. Priscilla greatly enjoyed baking, gardening, crafts and most especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Priscilla was predeceased by her husband, Lee Scott Fields, Jr. on October 22, 2021. She is survived by two sons, Lee Scott Fields III and his wife Sharon of Vernon, CT, Stephen N. Fields and his wife Tammy of Glenburn; one daughter, Stephanie F. Beaulieu and her husband Dale of Fort Fairfield; one brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Cynthia Whited of Dedham; two sisters, Carol Ann McElwee and her special friend John McElwee of Caribou, Kathryn Sunday and her husband William of Franklin, VA;, a sister-in-law, Sharon Fields Dorsey of Fort Fairfield; four grandchildren, Noah Fields and his wife Ariel of Tolland, CT, Sarah Beaulieu of Fort Fairfield, Reyanne Deabay and her husband Braddock of Glenburn, Regan Hoyt of Glenburn; one great grandchild, Graham Scott Deabay of Glenburn. Priscilla also leaves behind a dear family friend who she loved as her own, Hollie Haines Ouellette; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Priscilla’s wishes, services will private for the family. Interment will take place at the Northern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Caribou. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Priscilla to the Fort Fairfield Public Library, 339 Main Street, Fort Fairfield, Maine 04742.
