FORT FAIRFIELD

Fort Fairfield – Rose Meredith Elmer, 18, passed away Thursday morning, November 2, 2023 in Fort Fairfield as a result of a tragic house fire. She was born July 29, 2005 in Nampa, ID, the daughter of Erik C.F. and Jessica M. (Pitcher) Elmer.

Rose was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 2023, and was a member of the FFMHS Gifted and Talented Program. Rose most recently worked part-time at the Fort Fairfield Public Library as an Archivist. She greatly enjoyed Dungeons and Dragons and was recently working on a D&D group for others to join. Rose loved school, learning, reading, and was in the process of writing a book. She was very passionate about science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

She was predeceased by her parents, Erik C.F. and Jessica M. Elmer; and paternal grandfather, William Donald Elmer. She is survived by her paternal grandmother, Margo R. Elmer of Nampa, ID; maternal grandparents, James Pitcher of Texas, Kathy Pitcher of Montana; one brother, Augustus C.M. Elmer of Fort Fairfield; two sisters, Gillian Radford and her husband Austin of Tuscan, AZ, Emma Elmer of Nampa, ID; one nephew, Jason Radford; one niece, Allie Radford; one uncle, Chris Hirst on Montana, three aunts, Dawn Pitcher of Egypt, Sabrina Lane of Camas Valley, OR, Annie Merrick of Garden City, ID.

Services will be conducted in Idaho at a later date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Rose to the Augustus Elmer Fundraiser at www.gofundme.com .
